The material collected in this book was compiled at the turn of 1970 and 1971. It is a raw personal record of President Buttons from the London office of the Hell's Angels in England. On his quest to gain permission to establish the London branch, Buttons travels to the cradle of the HA's birth, where he meets not only the legendary Sonny Barger, but other important figures in the club. The Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club is the American dream. They are self-proclaimed outlaws, their creed is freedom, pride and male supremacy. They drink, they fight, they act like the masters of creation. Today's society is unable to tolerate the level of individualism required to become an Angel. Hell's Angels can never be controlled, so society says they must logically be destroyed. The most absurd redirection of the Angels' energies is the constant war between the various organizations, which continues sporadically in Britain and is not unknown in California.
